Kroger Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why do I designate a preferred Kroger store when I am registering my Kroger Plus Card online?
Kroger is asking for your store preference for marketing purposes only and to “place” your card in the proper region. Ohio has two regions in the Kroger Community Rewards program. By selecting the store you most commonly shop, you’re indicating your region. Rewards will be earned at Kroger stores located in our region only. Our region includes all of Ohio, except Cincinnati, Dayton and Springfield, plus Lambertville, Michigan. Please refer to the Kroger Community Rewards home page for detail of Kroger stores in our region.
2. Will I earn rewards shopping at any Kroger?
Kroger rewards will be earned on purchases made at any Kroger store within our region. Please refer to the Kroger Community Rewards home page for details of Kroger stores in our region, www.krogercommunityrewards.com.
3. Will I earn rewards at Kroger Fuel Stations?
Rewards will not be earned on any gasoline purchases, regardless of the form of payment. Kroger's Fuel Saver Rewards program will continue, unchanged, where discounts are earned from grocery purchases to be used when purchasing gas.
4. Will I earn rewards on the purchase of Kroger Gift Cards?
Kroger Gift Cards and Kroger Scrip Cards WILL NOT earn rewards.
5. Can I still use my Kroger Scrip card and continue to reload it?
No, you should deplete the card of its funds and destroy the card. No rewards credits will be given when former Kroger Scrip cards are used for payment of purchases.
6. Will I earn rewards on “mall” gift cards (other than Kroger Gift Cards) purchased at Kroger?
Any gift cards, other than Kroger gift cards, purchased at Kroger will earn rewards. This is great news! Remember gift cards available at Kroger when you need something quick!
7. How do I confirm that my purchases are earning rewards?
Within 7-10 days of successfully registering your Kroger Plus Card, you will see at the bottom of your receipt, “At your request, Kroger is donating to Notre Dame Academy”.
8. Am I able to register Kroger Plus Cards for other family members, who may not have a computer, on my computer?
Kroger allows only one Kroger Plus Card to be registered per household address and email address.
9. What if I don’t have a computer or an email address?
Kroger has provided a scan bar, registered to Notre Dame Academy, for individuals in this situation. Individuals would take a copy of the scan bar to Kroger to have their Kroger Plus Card scanned along with the scan bar. All purchases made with that Kroger Plus Card would then earn rewards for Notre Dame Academy.
This method is not recommended, however, for anyone who is not registered with Notre Dame Academy’s Scrip Program, as we would have no way to identify the individual who registered with the scan bar to the appropriate tuition-earning family. If you use this method for a family member or friend with a different last name, we will not be able to search for the family to whom their rewards should be credited unless an email is sent to scrip@nda.org providing Scrip with their name, their Kroger Plus Card number, and your name.
10. What if my family has more than one Kroger Plus Card?
Kroger allows only one Kroger Plus Card to be registered per household address and email address. Therefore, if your family (located at your household address) is using more than one Kroger Plus Card, with different numbers, your cards need to be linked. Simply take all of the Kroger Plus Cards your family is using to Kroger’s Customer Service Desk and asked that they be linked. By registering the head-of-household’s card online with Kroger Community Rewards, all linked cards will also earn rewards.
